Aberdeen is easily accessible by car or by air. Aberdeen is a pleasant 80 mile drive from Interstate 29 along Highway 12, and is at the intersection of US Highways 12 and 281. Highway 12 has currently been expanded to a 4-lane highway to make traveling easier.

If traveling by commercial airline, you will arrive at Aberdeen Regional Airport via Northwest Airlink, operated by Mesaba Airlines. The newly constructed terminal offers car rental from Hertz and Avis, with Payless car rental located nearby (in Aberdeen Flying Service). The terminal also features convenient long and short-term parking, a drink and snack bar, and comfortable waiting area with HDTV.

For private pilots or chartered aircraft, Aberdeen Regional Airport has two Fixed Base Operators (FBO's) offering refueling services for all general aviation, military and government aircraft. Aberdeen Flying Service offers flight instruction, aerial photography and aircraft sales. Quest Aviation features charter flights and aircraft rental, as well as flight instruction and aerial photography. Both offer repair services with fully licensed airframe and power plant mechanics.
